Description and characteristics
This painting is like a reflection in an ancient bronze mirror that a nomad carries with him. Through the distortion of the spherical perspective, we observe travelers on camels, whose shadows stretch across the endless desert. The space seems to be twisted into a ball — a symbol of peace, in which the road, the caravan, and the trail of history are inscribed. The silhouettes of animals and people seem ghostly, like memories of an ancient path carried through the centuries. And the mysterious symbols on the edges of the handkerchief remind of forgotten writings, perhaps once left by the travelers themselves. This work is a reflection on the path, the perception of time and space, and how any journey becomes part of a personal universe.
